Project Stepping Stone 2015 furnishes bedroom for homeless female veteran

Project Stepping Stone Co-chairs Cathy Fisher, Sue Farrell and Phyllis Young selected Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans for Project Stepping Stone 2014. Members rallied behind the cause after listening to founder Bob Adams at the October 2014 meeting and seeing the proposed plan to furnish one of four bedrooms in Tammy's Trace, a new women’s home in Wheaton.

Project Stepping Stone is dedicating our efforts to honor Gunnar Hotchkin, son of member Chris Hotchkin and grandson of member Ly Hotchkin.  PFC Gunnar Hotchkin was an army combat engineer and paratrooper, killed at 31 in Afghanistan, June 2010.  He was awarded the Bronze Star among other citations, and was considered a model soldier by his officers. Gunnar leaves behind a wife and three children.
